Volleyball will honor Brooks, Figueroa, and Solis on Sophomore Night versus Richland

The CVC Lady Suns Volleyball Team will complete their Dallas Athletic Conference schedule this Monday when they face the Richland Thunderducks. Mallorie Brooks, Janessa Figueroa, and Miranda Solis will be honored by the Lady Suns for "Sophomore Night".

Cedar Valley has a record of 5-4 in DAC competition and recently fell to North Central Texas in straight sets on Saturday. In the first meeting against RLC this season, the Lady Suns were victorious in four sets. Mallorie Brooks and Jasmine Davis each had a double-double with Brooks posting 13 kills and 16 digs and Davis tallying 10 kills and 15 digs.

Mallorie Brooks - Silsbee, TX

When Mallorie Brooks entered the Lady Suns Volleyball program she fit seamlessly into the rotation on here way to All-Metro Athletic Conference/Region V Second Team recognition in her freshmen season. During her CVC career, Brooks has amassed 486 kills, 894 digs, 45 total blocks, 39 service aces, 36 assists and 550 total points.   

Janessa Figueroa - El Paso, TX

In her lone season at CVC, Janessa has totaled 129 digs, 75 kills, 12 total blocks, and seven service aces. Figueroa had a team-high 18 digs in the Lady Suns win over Pratt this season.

Miranda Solis - Deer Park, TX

In two seasons with Cedar Valley, Miranda was named All-MAC/Region V Honorable Mention and led the Lady Suns in assists her freshman season. So far, Solis has 862 assists, 343 digs, and 40 service aces.
