Jasmine Davis Selected as NJCAA Division III All-American

CVC Volleyball's Jasmine Davis was named to the NJCAA Division III All-American Team, as announced by the NJCAA Division III Volleyball Committee.

During her freshman season, Davis posted 287 kills (2.41 k/s), 322 digs (2.71 d/s), 69 total blocks (23 solo blocks, 46 block assists), 22 service aces, 355 points to go along with a hitting percentage of .222. The Wichita Falls native ranked in the Top 50 of the NJCAA in kills (#29), block assists (#27), total blocks (#44), and points (#31). She was also named the Dallas Athletic Conference/Region V Most Valuable Player and earned First Team All-Region V honors.

"We are proud of Jasmine on being honored with an All-American award," said Lady Suns Head Volleyball Coach Isabel Almendarez-Ramos. "Coming into a new system and program can be challenging for a lot of freshmen, however her adjustments as she relied on her coaching staff was big for her, it allowed her to play at the level of play that she did this season. She started out slow but got better each day and then exploded. She put in the work all season to improve each day and this honor reflects it all."

This is the third straight year Cedar Valley has had a student-athlete earn NJCAA All-American accolades (Jasmine Davis 2018-2019, Daniel Quintanilla 2017-2018, JF Thomas Jr. 2016-2017).
