Burton Named First Team All-DAC, Hernandez Second Team

DALLAS – Dallas College Cedar Valley volleyball's Alexis Burton was named First Team All-Dallas Athletic Conference.

Suns' teammate Haven Hernandez was a Second Team All-DAC selection.

A freshman outside hitter from Bryan, Texas, Burton led Cedar Valley in kills (220) and kills per set (2.89). She also had 29 blocks, 98 digs and 13 aces. She pounded a season-high 19 kills in three matches – two of which resulted in Suns' wins. Burton had 19 kills, and hit .342 in a sweep of Southwestern Adventist University. She had a season-high three blocks in three matches. She had a season-high four aces against Lee College.

A sophomore middle blocker from Baytown, Texas, Hernandez led the Suns in blocks (42) and blocks per set (0.55), and had 95 kills. She had a season-high six blocks in a four-set match against Southwestern Christian College. She had three or more blocks in five matches. Hernandez had a career-high 14 kills in a five-set win at Southwestern Adventist University. She had eight kills in three straight matches, including the sweep of Southwestern Adventist when she hit .615.
