Game Preview: Suns vs. Brookhaven

The CVC Men's Basketball Team look to shake off a recent  losing skid as they head into the final month of the season. The Suns are currently battling to get to first place in the Metro Athletic Conference rankings, so that they can secure home court for the post season tournament or a share of first place.

Cedar Valley is currently in fifth place in the MAC standings with a record of 2-3 in conference play. In their last outing the Suns fell to North Lake College, 86-77. Eric Stewart registered a game high 24 points in the loss.

Brookhaven is currently winless in conference play to go along with a six game losing streak. The Bears most recent loss came at the hands of Mountain View College.

In their last meeting with the Bears, the Suns came away with a 103-101 victory, with Joshua Johnson hitting the game winning shot with 2.1 seconds left. Desmond Kennedy led all scorers with 22 points, going 6-11 from behind the three-point line, with JF Thomas registering a double-double with 18 points, 31 rebounds and a game high seven assists in the win.
