The CVC Suns Basketball Team will take on their first NJCAA opponents this weekend when they compete in the "Kilgore Classic". The Suns will face the Tyler Apaches on Friday and then the Kilgore Rangers on Saturday.
CVC is riding a six game win streak heading into the weekend led by freshman Larry Rusk Jr., who was recently named Dallas Athletic Conference Player of the Week. Rusk was the leading scorer in four of Cedar Valley's wins including their recent victory over Jarvis Christian (JV) where he finished with a double-double of 21 points and 13 assists.
In last year's trip to the "Kilgore Classic", the Suns were defeated by Tyler and Kilgore.
