Suns Baseball Swept by Brookhaven in MAC Series

The CVC Baseball Team wrapped up their first series of Metro Athletic Conference action, with a sweep at the hands of the Brookhaven Bears. After being defeated in game one on Wednesday, the Suns would also fall at home on Friday and Saturday.

In the game two loss to Brookhaven, the Suns encountered a late rally from the Bears that resulted in a 6-2 decision. Jesse Mendoza and Jacob Farmer each had two hits, with Mendoza and Tylor Frailey each scoring a run.

In game three, CVC hit a scoring slump and were unable to get back on the scoreboard after the first inning. The Suns were defeated 9-1. J.J. Veloz Jr. had two hits and crossed the plate.

Cedar Valley has a quick turnaround as they head to East Texas this Monday to take on LeTourneau University.
