The top two teams in the Metro Athletic Conference will square off this week when the CVC Baseball Team takes on the Brookhaven Bears in conference series play. The Suns look to avenge an early season series sweep at the hands of the Bears.
Since that series loss to Brookhaven, Cedar Valley has gone on to win their following MAC series against Eastfield, North Lake, Mountain View, and Richland. BHC is the only team CVC has yet to defeat in a series.
CVC has won 11 of their last 12 outings, including their Monday doubleheader sweep of LeTourneau University (J.V.). Brookhaven enters the series coming off a 2-1 MAC series loss to Eastfield College.
