MAC Series: Suns Baseball vs. North Lake

The CVC Baseball Team will take on North Lake College in Metro Athletic Conference play this week, in their second series of the season against the Blazers.

After sweeping Eastfield College, CVC improved to 12-9 in MAC play and sit in third place. The Suns also extended their win streak to four games, after defeating Texas Wesleyan University (J.V.), 9-3.

Tylor Frailey, Jesus Payan, and Alex Rivera each had two runs, with Rivera and Shannon Broussard adding a team-high two RBIs each. Austin Nicholson earned the win, improving to 3-1 on the year.

In the last meeting between the Suns and Blazers, after dropping game one, CVC charged back to claim the series, winning games two and three.

NLC is currently in second place in the MAC, with a 13-8 conference record. The Blazers most recently defeated Brookhaven in their last MAC series outing.
