Suns Baseball Tops Mountain View, 8-2

The CVC Baseball Team opened their Metro Athletic Conference series versus the Mountain View Lions, with an 8-2 victory. The Suns improve their conference record to 14-11.

Shannon Broussard led CVC in the win, throwing nine strikeouts in seven innings pitched, allowing only four hits and two runs. Broussard improved his season record to 9-1.

Six different Suns scored at least one run, with Alex Bush turning in two runs. J.J. Veloz Jr. had a team-high two RBIs.

The Suns and Lions continue their series this Friday at 2:00 p.m. at MVC.
