The CVC Baseball Team picked up their first wins of the season after sweeping the Houston CC Eagles in doubleheader action. The Suns accounted for 33 runs in the series.
In the game one, 16-1 victory, CVC went 18-29 at the plate with Daniel Quintanilla turning in a game-high three hits and four RBIs. Three Suns scored at least three runs (Quintanilla, Nick Balley, Billy Rogers). Ryan Boaz earned the win through five inning allowing only three hits and one run.
Rogers had a game-high three runs to go along with three RBIs in the 17-2 game two win. Quintanilla had three RBIs as well. Five Suns scored at least two runs (Quintanilla, Blake Birdwell, Nolyn Box, Hugo Garcia-Gaytan, Dakota More) and Noah Lynch claimed the win from the mound.
Cedar Valley will hit the road on Monday to face LeTourneau University.
