Baseball Claims Game One in Brookhaven Series

The CVC Suns Baseball Team defeated the Brookhaven Bears in game one of their Dallas Athletic Conference series, before falling in games two and three. This is the second DAC series loss of the season for the Suns.

In the first victory of the three game-set, CVC dominated with a 10-4 victory. Noah Lynch improved his record on the mound to 4–1, tossing six strikeouts in seven innings pitched. Jose Castillo went three-for-four at the plate logging three RBIs and two runs, while Billy Rogers had three runs. Blake Birdwell hit a home run.

Cedar Valley fell in game two, 21-9. Leo Aguilar and Chandler Boyd each had a team-high two runs with three different Suns notching at least two RBIs (Rogers, Dakota More, Ryan Ratliff).

In game three's 12-4 loss, Castillo had two RBIs and four different Suns crossed home plate (Birdwell, Boyd, Rogers, and Isaia Diermier).

CVC returns to DAC play next week when they face Richland.
