Baseball Pulls Game Two Victory in Eastfield Series

Over the weekend, the CVC Baseball Team were able to secure only one victory in their three-game Dallas Athletic Conference series against the Eastfield Harvesters. The Suns are now 13-14 in conference play.

Cedar Valley was shutout in game one falling to Eastfield, 10-0. Five different Suns recorded a hit.

CVC charged back in game two for an explosive 15-12 victory. Ryan Ratliff had a game-high four runs, with Blake Birdwell, Ben Cross, and Grant Moore each posting three RBIs. William Bond earned the win, while Jacob Rothenberg received the save.

The Harvesters outlasted Cedar Valley, 6-5 in the final game of the series. Including Cross' home run, a total of five different Suns (Isaia Diermier, Hugo Garcia-Gaytan, Boyd, and Ratliff) to compliment Billy Rogers' two RBIs.

Cedar Valley will face non-conference opponent, Dallas Christian on Tuesday before returning home to begin their final DAC series of the regular season against Brookhaven on Wednesday.
