The CVC Baseball Team were swept in their final Dallas Athletic Conference series of the regular season by the Brookhaven Bears over the weekend. CVC heads into postseason play with a conference record of 13-17.
In game one, the Suns fell to the Bears, 8-3. Chandler Boyd and Blake Birdwell each recorded a run and an RBI.
Cedar Valley was held off by Brookhaven in game two, 15-14. Billy Rogers was a perfect 5-for-5 at the play with four runs and two RBIs, while Jose Castillo posted a game-high four RBIs.
CVC was defeated in game three, 7-3. Jose Castillo had two RBIs with Boyd, Ben Cross, and Ryan Ratliff each collecting run.
The Suns will now prepare for their divisional postseason series. Playoff seeding and schedule is to be announced.
